SPECIAL SESSION: IMS Forum Presents “OSS and Charging in IMS & NGN Networks 10:45 – 11:30 a.m.
This panel will discuss results from charging interoperability testing for "online"' billing services, drawing specific examples from recent NGN IMS Forum Plugfests. This session addresses technical and business aspects of multimedia, all-IP services, covering all types of interfaces used in IMS, NGN, LTE and WiMAX utilizing Diameter and other protocols for control and management, network operations (OSS/BSS) and integration with NGN applications and services. In addition, the needs of protocol stack vendors and users, equipment vendors using these protocols in functions such as call session control, home subscriber servers, charging, policy management and security will be examined.

Encountering Content and Its Business Ramifications 11:45 a.m. –

Content Encounter is an innovation incubator within the TM Forum service
providers and their supply chain experiment with emerging business models
and new technologies for the creation, delivery and monetization of
digital media services. Phase 3 of this project was completed in November
at Management World. Participants discuss how best practices are being
developed through this experience that will move content delivery and
management forward for the service provider.

Fundamental communications products have been commoditized, so service
providers need new ways to differentiate themselves. One way is to
improve the flexibility around product offerings. This requires putting
product and service catalogs front and center and integrating them with
billing and fulfillment systems. This panel will discuss how to do this
and some of the results of doing so.
