Frederick Allen
As switch engineer for Digicel over the past four years, Frederick Allen sets network strategy and provides effective and efficient technical support for various network nodes (Ericsson MSC, SCP, HLR and Cisco ITP), tests and implements new software and hardware, uses trends to plan and implement expansion within the Digicel network, and also assists other Digicel islands where needed. Additionally, Allen supervises SLAs for vendors, provides departmental engineering support, and follows through with proactive customer service support and delivery. Frederick holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a specialty in electronics and telecommunication from the University of Technology in Kingston, Jamaica.
Alan Anglyn
Alan Anglyn is director of solutions and business management in Sprint’s Care & Billing Services organization. In addition to Sprint’s Mailing and Media Services team, Anglyn is responsible for strategic vendor relations, project pipeline management, solutions architecture and business operations. He has more than 25 years of ordering, billing and provisioning experience having worked at Sprint, Nextel, BellSouth and as an OSS consultant. Anglyn holds a bachelors degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Jeff Auman
Jeff Auman leads all sales functions including operations, retail and distribution strategy and regional marketing for Boost Mobile. . His proven effectiveness in both the field and headquarters environments, along with his experience in retail and marketing, drive his ability to effectively accelerate Boost’s sales volume, customer experience and profitability. Most recently, Auman served as vice president of local marketing at Sprint, where he lead national consumer and business segment field marketing. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Miami and a master’s degree in business administration from Florida Atlantic University.
Dan Baker
Dan Baker is Technology Research Institute's research director, principal market synthesizer and co-founder. He founded the firm in 1994. Baker has authored dozens of multiclient and custom reports that span the breadth of BSS and OSS, including wireless and wireline billing and mediation systems, revenue assurance and cost management, provisioning and assurance, customer care and CRM, and OSS Integration. Baker is a former market analyst at Venture Development Corporation (VDC), where he tracked the telecom and real-time computer markets.
Alice Bartram
Alice Bartram has been putting her strong technology background to use in the telecoms software industry for over a decade, most recently as associate vice president of marketing for Comverse’s BSS solutions, where she has overseen the successful positioning and branding of the Comverse ONE Billing and Active Customer Management solution. Prior to joining Comverse, Bartram was involved in various aspects of the product life cycle for companies such as Lucent, Silicon Graphics and Texas Instruments. She has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from The University of Vermont and a master’s degree in management from the London Business School.
Caressa D. Bennet
Ms. Bennet has practiced telecommunications law since 1987. She represents primarily rural wireless carriers, telephone companies, cellular carriers, PCS providers, and CLECs before the FCC, state regulatory agencies, the courts and Congress. She is a nationally recognized expert on rural wireless issues and has been a key proponent for easing regulatory burdens that hinder small wireless companies. Ms. Bennet is a member of the Federal Communications Bar Association and American Bar Association. She serves as General Counsel to the Rural Telecommunications Group, Inc. a wireless trade association and serves as pro bono legal counsel to the Foundation for Rural Education Development. Ms. Bennet is an accomplished Ironman triathlete having secured the title of Fittest Female CEO in North America, 2004.
John Birbeck
John Birbeck, CEO of CTI Group, has had a technology focused career that includes over 20 years' experience of leading high growth companies in the data and telecommunications industries. Birbeck founded and served as a director of Network Alchemy Ltd., developing the first, award winning VoIP system for the small/medium enterprise market. Network Alchemy Ltd. was acquired by Lucent and became part of Avaya Communications.
Steven K. Berry
Steven K. Berry is CEO and Executive Director of the Rural Cellular Association. Previously, he was responsible for representing Merrill Lynch in all Legislative and Executive Branch matters of interest to Merrill Lynch and the financial services industry. He was also responsible for policy analysis and development, and for keeping Merrill Lynch and its clients apprised of government policy developments. A seasoned lawyer with 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors, Berry is a member of the Virginia Bar and holds a bachelor's degree from Emory and Henry College and a juris doctorate from George Mason University Law School.
Shirley Bloomfield
Shirley Bloomfield is vice president of Verizon federal government relations in Washington, D.C. Her efforts are focused on U.S. Senate leadership and telecommunications policy. Prior to joining Verizon, Bloomfield was the senior vice president of Qwest federal relations and the vice president of government relations and association services at the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA). Bloomfield began her Capitol Hill career with House Appropriations Committee Chairman David Obey (D-WI) and later worked for two chairmen of the House Budget Committee, Representatives William Gray (D-PA) and Jim Jones (D-OK). She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in public administration from American University.
Patrick Bossert
Patrick Bossert is director of strategy at Convergys Corp., responsible for directing Convergys' software and services investment with the aim of helping communications service providers enable new business models and create a bigger competitive advantage. Formerly he was head of transformational outsourcing at Atos Origin UK, head of Telco Business Strategy at KPMG Consulting, CTO of a US Venture Capital fund. Patrick holds a BEng (Hons) in electronic engineering from the University of York.
Michele Campriani
Michele Campriani is currently the CEO of Accanto Systems. He has more than 15 years’ of experience in the service provider market and was previously general manager of the Protocol Products Group at Sunrise Telecom. Beforehand, he held several positions in HP’s Service Provider’s Business Unit. In his last position, he had worldwide responsibility of HP’s OSS business and was responsible for the OSS product and solution portfolio and for the HP consulting OSS practice.
Clint Carter
Clint Carter is the director of point of sale solutions for Cricket Communications Inc. He has 10 years of experience in the wireless field and care operations management. In his current role, Carter sets strategic direction and leads ongoing operations for Cricket’s customer facing systems. He recently spearheaded a major re-architecture and replacement of Cricket’s point of sale solution. Carter previously served as partner and director of technologies for Industream Technologies Inc., a training and consulting firm supporting commercial printers. Carter’s expertise and focus have been on retail operations, business development, operations management and quality operations.
Dr. Xavier Chelladurai
Dr. Xavier Chelladurai is a key leader in HCL Technologies Telecom Vertical with more than 25 years of experience. He has lead telcom BSS/OSS projects for several service providers such as British Telecom, France Telecom, Vodafone, Sprint and BSNL. He has extensive experience in several telecom billing and customer care products, provisioning and activation solutions. Chelladurai has a Ph. D. in computer science and has authored several books on parallel algorithms, Java and Web design.
Mark Chodoronek
Mark Chodoronek is executive director of Verizon’s e-commerce and global customer enablement management team, leading the service strategy, P&L management, product management, technology and communications plans for Verizon Enterprise Center, eBonding and customized portal services. He oversees the management of this product line for Verizon Business. In addition, Chodoronek has a number of industry-leading patents in the area of Web service enablement for network management tools. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and labor economics from the University of Wisconsin and certifications in product management and marketing management from Drake and Michigan Universities. He is also a CPM-certified purchasing manager.
Walker Colston
Walker Colston is responsible for driving Ixia’s quality assurance, release management, productivity tools and technical publications initiatives. Walker joined Ixia in June 2003 as senior director of engineering operations and was promoted to vice president of engineering operations in April 2004. Today, Walker also heads up the company's converged monitoring practice. Walker has more than 20 years’ experience ranging from engineering and technology management to operations with both start-up and Fortune 500 companies including Hewlett-Packard, Parametric Technology Corp. and AllAdvantage.com.
Kevin Conti
Conti is director of communication intelligence at Pitney Bowes Business Insight. He works in a consultative role with large financial services, insurance and telecommunications customers to deploy software solutions that reduce mailing costs and improve customer communications. Conti has a liaison role with the U.S. Postal Service, industry groups and mailing product organizations. After starting his career in telecommunications, Conti accumulated broad experience in a variety of roles in the area of enterprise software and deployment. He received a degree in electromagnetic wave theory from the University of Illinois.
Brad Dixon
Brad Dixon focuses on innovative uses of information technology in the communications marketplace. With more than 25 years of experience in technology marketing and ICT management, he has had a varied career as a business academic, venture capitalist, analyst and consultant. Dixon has worked with a number of the largest ICT vendors, telecommunications providers and software vendors. His current research focuses on next generation services enabled by ubiquitous broadband.
Pam Dodge
Pam Dodge joined Nakina Systems in 2009 as senior director of marketing. She is responsible for all internal and external marketing programs, strategy and direction. Dodge has more than 20 years in the telecom industry with broad experience in voice and data networking and expertise in network management technology. She has authored numerous articles on network management, Layer 2 networking and SOA and has been the speaker at several industry meetings. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire.
James Dunlap
James Dunlap is the CIO at GCI, which provides voice, video and data communication services. He has more than 20 years' leadership experience in the technology sector, serving the retail, consumer products and utility/telecommunications industries. He is a critical member of the GCI executive leadership team and is responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational execution and financial performance for IT. Dunlap specializes in business transformation and IT/business alignment. As CIO, he has helped elevate the strategic discussions and broad capabilities around leveraging IT for business benefit. Additionally, he has increased the discipline and rigor around IT governance.
John Dye
John Dye is director of systems integration for Ericsson Service Inc., responsible for development of OSS and BSS applications supporting Ericsson’s North American Managed Services unit through which he drives delivery of full life-cycle support leveraging the Ericsson global portfolio of OSS/BSS platforms. John’s 25 years experience in the telecommunications industry includes extensive experience in systems development, network and IT operations, security, engineering, and regulatory disciplines in the North American carrier market. He holds a bachelors degree in business administration and a minor in Political Science from Mississippi State University.
Ibrahim Gedeon
As CTO of TELUS Corp. since 2003, Ibrahim Gedeon is responsible for technology strategy, service and network architecture, service delivery and operational support systems. His career in engineering and research began in 1990 with Bell Northern Research. He joined Nortel Networks in 1994 as a network design engineer and became vice president and director of data network engineering in 1996 and vice president of Internet brand management in 1999. In 2000, he was appointed senior vice president of wireless engineering. Gedeon has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the American University of Beirut and a master’s degree in electronics engineering from Carleton University.
John Gillespie
John Gillespie is Netezza’s vice president and general manager for global telecommunications business. He brings more than 20 years’ of experience delivering complex leading edge solutions to the global telecommunications marketplace. Prior to Netezza, Gillespie served as vice president of global sales and corporate development for NexTone Communications.
Tal Givoly
Tal Givoly leads all innovation activities across Amdocs Management Limited, a company specializing in customer experience systems. He has more than 20 years of telecommunications technologies and software development, having held leadership positions in research and development and product management at Amdocs, XACCT and other companies. Givoly has developed numerous patents and frequently speaks at major events. He is actively involved in industry consortiums including the Internet Engineering Task Force, the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions and TeleManagement Forum, where he serves on the Advisory Council for the Board of Directors.
Greg Gum
Greg Gum brings more than 20 years of product marketing and business development expertise in both start-up and Fortune 500 companies. Before joining ANDA, Gum was the owner and founder of Tsunami Ventures International, a consulting and early stage investment firm focused on networking and software companies. Prior to his investment firm, he was the vice president of business development at Ishoni Networks, a $65 million communications semiconductor start-up (acquired by Philips)
John Hamze
John Hamze is the director of global marketing and business development for the network management business of Tektronix Communications, a leading worldwide provider of network intelligence and communications test solutions. He was previously senior marketing manager at Tektronix Communications, responsible for the network management business covering the Americas, EMEA and APAC. Hamze led a global marketing team and developed and executed go-to-market strategy that fueled Tektronix Communications’ growth in all regions.
Faye F. Henris
Faye F. Henris is currently general manager at TEOCO, focusing on account management for the communications service provider industry. Prior to joining TEOCO, she worked at MCI Communications Corp. where she held positions within the Finance, Network Services, Network Operations and Regulatory departments. Henris left MCI to found TeleCon LLC and served as its president and managing partner until it was sold in 2000 to Information View Solutions. She then served as the COO and general manager of the services division of the combined company (rebranded as Vibrant Solutions) until early 2002.
Michael (Skip) Hughes
Michael Hughes serves as senior solutions consultant for Intec Billing Inc., providing functional and technical support to the sales teams and current customers in the Caribbean, Latin America and North America. With more than 13 years’ experience in the software industry, Hughes has focused on customer solutions in the telecommunications, digital commerce and financial services industries for companies such as AT&T, Moody’s Investor Services, Nokia, Schroders Asset Management and central banks of Latin American countries (Venezuela, Argentina, Bolivia and Ecuador). He has a degree in finance from Fairfield University's Dolan School of Business.
Shannon Hladky
Shannon Hladky has served in the telecommunications, Internet, and media/entertainment industries for more than 10 years and is responsible for managing Synaptitude’s support to its clients, including business development, quality assurance, delivery execution and customer satisfaction. He has extensive experience in developing process and technology solutions to improve the business operations, efficiency and profitability of Synaptitude’s clients. He is also responsible for Synaptitude’s business operations including growing and managing the P&L of its multi-million dollar consulting services organization.
Cath Houghton
Cath Houghton is the head of application support and maintenance for BT Operate, working out of their London office. She is driving the transformation journey for the company’s AS&M , focusing on centralizing AS&M functions into one service assurance team in BT Operate and transforming them to reduce costs and improve service levels.
Lars Jansson
Lars Jansson has led sales and portfolio management for the growing BSS/OSS Outsourcing Services at Ericsson since 2008, implementing sales and delivery strategies across technologies that make operations more efficient. He also has worked with fixed and mobile operators in Europe, including TeliaSonera and Lietuvos Telekomas. Lars holds an MS degree in Industrial Engineering from Linköping Technical University in Sweden and an MBA from Italy’s SDA Bocconi University.
Patrick Kelly
Patrick Kelly is research director for Analysys Mason’s global telecoms software research stream, which focuses on identifying the rapidly growing segments in the telecoms software market and providing forecast and market share data on each of the 26 segments by region and service type. Rafi Kretchmer
Rafi Kretchmer is the Director of Product Marketing - Revenue Management Product & Solutions at Amdocs. Kretchmer is responsible for defining the business strategy and product direction for all of Amdocs’ revenue management products, which includes the areas of billing, mediation and partner settlement. Kretchmer’s expertise in communications and enterprise systems management means that he regularly writes whitepapers and articles, briefs industry analysts, and is asked to speak at major industry events such as Mobile World Congress and TeleManagement World, as well as thought-leadership events with strategic customers. Kretchmer holds a master’s degree in law from the Bar-Ilan University (Cum Laude) and a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Derby.
Veenod Kurup
Veenod Kurup is vice president of data product services for Cox Communications. He oversees the development of an integrated service provisioning and management system as well as network management of e-mail and news services for Cox’s 3.5 million high-speed Internet accounts. He also is responsible for the development and implementation of future product functionality and the tools, interfaces and business processes necessary to support the growth and enhancement of Cox’s high-speed Internet service. Kurup joined Cox in 1997 as a project manager. Previously, he served as a software engineer for Arrowsmith Technologies Inc. Kurup holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin.
David Lee
David Lee is vice president of finance for BT Global Services, a world leader in delivering and managing converged telecom services for global customers. David has 25 years in the global and domestic telecom industry supporting all areas of finance. In his current role, he is CFO of CNS, which is a global trading hub that captures customer specific and shared network costs around the globe and allocates them to customer contracts.
Grant Lenahan
Lenahan leads the market direction and evolution of the service delivery suite for Telcordia, a global provider of telecommunications software and services for IP, wireline, wireless and cable networks. He works with solutions related to charging, policy, content and personalization for SDP, IMS and converged network environments. His focus is on networks that enable a broad value chain to deliver a wide range of highly personalized, relevant multimedia services. Lenahan is a columnist and author of numerous papers in the areas of IMS, NGN, convergent services and wireless services.
Shira Levine
Shira is directing analyst for Next Gen OSS and Policy at Infonetics Research and an expert in OSS, billing, and service delivery platforms. She authors market-size and forecast reports on policy servers, SDPs and subscriber data management and notes and surveys on the service delivery infrastructure, evolution of Telco 2.0 and new service models. Shira also was a Senior Analyst with IDC and a senior research analyst with Stratecast’s OSS Competitive Strategies practice. Levine holds a BA in Classics from Amherst College and an MSJ from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
Sheng Liang
Sheng Liang is a technology visionary who developed the Java Virtual Machine at Sun Microsystems, as well as a serial entrepreneur. He co-founded Web application firewall vendor Teros Networks (acquired by Citrix) and was a member of the senior management team at SEVEN Networks and Openwave Systems, which developed software products for more than 100 wireless and wireline service providers around the world.
Ken Marchant
Ken Marchant has been providing innovative OSS/BSS and business intelligence solutions for almost thirty years to customers globally. Ken leads an Americas-wide team providing real-time BSS projects for HP Communications and Media Solutions to service providers in North and South America with a focus on, policy- and network-based billing, revenue generating and revenue assurance solutions.
Marcus Maher
Marcus Maher is associate chief of the Wireline Competition Bureau of the Federal Communications Commission. In that capacity, he helps manage the Bureau’s efforts on a variety of pricing policy, competition policy and broadband issues, including with respect to the Bureau’s role in the development of the National Broadband Plan. Previously, he was legal counsel to the chief of the Wireline Competition Bureau and an attorney in the Competition Policy Division. Prior to joining the FCC in 2003, Maher was an associate with the Washington, D.C., law firm of Wiley Rein.
Susan McNeice
Susan McNeice is global director of communications infrastructure and software at Stratecast, a division of Frost & Sullivan. She monitors and analyzes emerging trends, technologies and market dynamics in the operations and business software (OSS/BSS) domain of the global communications, media and entertainment industries. She has written and consulted extensively on competitive and strategic uses of data analytics, business intelligence platforms, OSS/BSS platform strategy, real-time rating and charging, revenue assurance and project management. McNeice’s experience includes strategic planning, market research, technology marketing, program turnaround, sales, process engineering, requirements analysis and solution software definition.
Aubrey Merchant-Dest
Aubrey Merchant-Dest has more than 22 years of experience in network communications and operations, with the last 12 of those years spent in direct sales engineering positions to Tier 1 and Tier 2 service providers and enterprises. As a systems engineer at Qosmos, he is responsible for providing comprehensive pre- and post-sales technology support to solution providers looking to implement network intelligence technology into their offering. Before joining Qosmos, Merchant-Dest held systems engineering positions at cutting-edge high-tech firms including Ellacoya Networks, CloudShield Technologies, iPolicy Networks and Lucent Technologies. He holds a bachelor's degree in compter technology from Control Data Institute in Arlington, Va.
Sanjay Mewada
Sanjay Mewada is vice president of Strategy at NetCracker, responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the company and managing its partnership program. Prior to joining NetCracker, Mewada was vice president of the Telecom Software Strategies (TSS) Decision Service at Yankee Group. There he managed research and programs to improve communications service providers' business results. Before Yankee Group, Mewada worked at MCI, Intelsat and the World Bank in product management and technology evaluation functions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics and a master’s degree in business administration from Bombay University, as well as a master’s degree in international business from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
Kyle Mette
Mette is an application developer III for U.S. Cellular. He has nine years of experience in the cellular telecommunications industry working in forward mediation, content-based billing and reverse mediation with a main focus on forward mediation. Mette is the subject matter expert for the Intec Inter-mediatE product at U.S. Cellular. He has a degree in computer information systems from Illinois State University.
Parham Momtahan
As vice president, advanced technologies, for Bridgewater Systems, Parham Momtahan leads product, platform and technology evolution strategy and partnerships. Prior to his current role, he led research and development for the company from its inception, providing carrier-grade solutions to major service providers worldwide. Previously, he spent more than a decade at Nortel Networks in a series of key roles focused on data networks and their management systems and before that was with Xerox Research, U.K. Parham earned a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Manchester and a master’s degree in computing systems from Cranfield University. He is a member of IEEE.
Mark Mortenson
Mark Mortenson is the lead analyst for Analysys Mason's Customer Care and Service Fulfilment research programs. His focus is on customer self-care, IT asset management and CMDBs and enterprise order control and master catalogues. Mark spent 20 years at Bell Laboratories, starting software products for new markets and network technologies. He was chief scientist of Management Systems at Bell Labs, CMO at the Granite Systems, vice president of product strategy at Telcordia, and SVP at VPIsystems. Mark holds an MPhil and a PhD in physics from Yale University and has received two AT&T Architecture awards for innovative software solutions. He is also an adjunct faculty member of UMass Lowell in the College of Management.
Debra J. Osswald
Debra J. Osswald is responsible for strategy and cloud computing solutions for IBM’s Global Communications Industry division. A 25-year veteran of the communications industry, Osswald previously held key marketing positions with Amdocs and Telcordia and was vice president and equity research analyst with Goldman Sachs. She has also served as the worldwide BSS/OSS research program manager at Gartner and a strategy consultant with AMS, as well as spending 10 years with AT&T.
Bruce Peterson
With more than 30 years of experience in telecommunications, Bruce Peterson has a proven track record for developing new ventures and increasing sales of products and services. Prior to joining Velocent, Bruce Peterson product managed GSM based 3G Packet Core Network (PCN) products for Lucent Technologies Bell Labs. Prior to managing the PCN which Velocent Systems now optimizes and monitors, Bruce led the business side of Cooperative Innovations within Lucent that contracted commercial solutions to fill gaps in Lucent's product line. Prior to joining Lucent in 1997, Bruce spent 5 years founding and building VoiceCue Technologies that still employs over thirty people to provide enhanced services to cellular operators.
Marc Price
Marc Price, vice president of technology and CTO for the Americas at Openet, has nearly 20 years of experience working extensively with customers to define strategies and deploy world-class solutions for mediation, rating and billing. He has helped some of the largest U.S. and European service providers achieve business success, most notably providing strategic assistance deploying complex services across diverse networks including wireline, wireless and cable. Before joining Openet, Price was the lead software architect for a market-leading convergent real-time rating and billing system for service providers. He holds degrees in mechanical engineering and international relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
Elisabeth Rainge
Elisabeth Rainge manages IDC’s research into telecom software and network operations markets and contributes to IDC’s broad portfolio of network infrastructure market research. Currently, she is leading IDC's research of telecom software, focusing on business value. Specific areas of coverage include OSS/BSS, SDP, NGN voice infrastructures and subscriber data management.
Bob Richardson
Having more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Bob Richardson is currently the manager of solution consultants for the Americas region of InfoVista where he has been for five years. He initially gained experience in field support of PBX and voice mail systems at ROLM and then managed support and new product introduction activity at Newbridge Networks. Before joining InfoVista, Richardson worked in product management roles for two startup companies subsequently purchased by larger communications equipment vendors. Richardson has a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Strayer University in Washington, D.C.
Hank Riner
Hank Riner is the Chief Executive Officer of OSG Billing Services. He is responsible for guiding the company toward new growth initiatives. With 30 years of experience in marketing and business outsourcing services, he maintains a focus on customer satisfaction as well as finding solutions through technology. Riner received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in marketing from Temple University.
Tim Ross
Ross, vice president national sales for DST Output, oversees business development in the communications and utilities markets. He has more than 25 years of sales and account management experience in the billing statement industry. Ross attained dual bachelor’s degrees in marketing and management from the University of Nebraska and a master’s in business administration from Washington University.
Rick Schmaltz
Rick Schmaltz is vice president of business development, communications service providers for CA. He is responsible for developing and implementing alliance strategy for the global communications service provider market. Rick has 17 years' experience as a company officer and six years' experience as a member of the board of directors for privately and publicly held companies. Rick has experience in sales, marketing, business development, operations for companies like HP, CrossKeys (now Oracle) and WatchMark (now IBM).
Ahmed Abdel Shakour

His clients include Cricket Communications and most of the top 6 U.S. wireless carriers, as well as ESPN, Disney, GM-OnStar and other leading companies implementing advanced mobility solutions.
Rachel Staniland
As an industry segment strategist for Oracle's retail communications team. Rachel Staniland works with communications companies worldwide to incorporate retail best practices into their organizations and to drive the evolution of Oracle's retail solutions to accommodate their changing needs. During her eight years with Oracle's retail organization, Staniland has worked with market leading retailers such as Gap, Gucci and Tesco, and with communications companies such as Nokia, Vodafone and MTN South Africa. Staniland holds a bachelor's degree in economic and social studies from the University of Bradford and has more than 10 years of experience in the retail industry.
Scott Swartz
Scott Swartz is founder, president and CEO of MetraTech, and has more than 15 years' of software and services industry experience. Before MetraTech, he served as director of product marketing at NetCentric, a provider of carrier-class Internet fax systems. He also served as director at Cambridge Technology Partners, where he led the deployment of a complex customer care, billing and logistics solution for Air Products. Dale A. Thompson
Dale A. Thompson is a senior solution architect with Intec Billing. He has worked in the telecommunications industry for more than two decades, working with major RBOCs, ILECs and CLECs, as well as numerous start-ups, to define business cases, solution requirements, strategic architectures, technological advancements, managing partners and the delivery of applications in support of OSS/BSS platforms. At Intec, Thompson focuses his expertise on the areas of data management, wholesale settlements and revenue assurance strategies.
Elizabeth Tse
After serving Zuora as an advisor for two years, Elizabeth Tse joined their management team as vice president of customer operations. She brings more than 20 years of global experience in ecommerce and financial services at eBay, Providian Financial (now Chase) and American Express. Tse holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and a master’s degree in business administration from Cornell University. While at Yale she received the Branford College Award for outstanding contribution to the community.
Nigel Upton
Nigel Upton is responsible for the HP RealTime BSS portfolio within the HP Communications & Media Solutions business. The portfolio spans policy and charging, revenue intelligence, fraud management, and investigation and data retention. Upton has more than 20 years of experience with HP managing various enterprise and telecom software businesses, including leading the software integration process during the HP/Compaq merger. Paul Vedam
Since founding TIERONE in 1999, president and CEO Paul Vedam has provided the overall strategic direction for the company. Earlier in his career, he also co-founded Objectel Software, a provider of two industry leading products: Objectel (Inventory Management) and OMS (Order Management,) which are still in use as part of Oracle’s product suite and once powered Nortel’s software suite after it acquired Architel. Bryan Walkey
Bryan Walkey serves as Secretary and President of North American Operations at MeetingZone Ltd. Mr. Walkey joined MeetingZone in 2008 in order to launch the North American division building on fifteen years experience in the conferencing industry. Mr. Walkey served as President of the Canadian operation, General manager of the Video Conferencing unit and Vice President -Sales of North America region at ConferTech which subsequently merged with Frontier Communications and Global Crossing. In 2001, he founded Join The Call in partnership with Globalive Communications, creating a conference call boutique aimed at the SMB market and successfully sold it in 2006.
Ty Wang
Ty Wang is senior director of product marketing for Service Delivery Solutions at Oracle Communications. He is responsible for identifying new product capabilities and market opportunities for communications service providers and related independent solution providers. Wang oversees areas of Oracle expansion including VoIP, presence, messaging and Web 2.0 technologies for initiatives ranging from social networks to mobile work forces. Prior to joining Oracle, he held positions with Ubiquity Software and Everypath. In addition to his software solutions background, Wang was a management consultant to Fortune 500 companies with the Strategic Services group of Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).
Todd Weiss
Todd Weiss is a senior product manager for Fiserv’s Biller Solutions Group, which works with billing organizations to build and sustain customer relationships and to optimize growth by leveraging bills as valuable touch points. Weiss is responsible for directing and managing the business unit’s strategic direction for its electronic billing line of products. Before joining CheckFree (now Fiserv) in 2005, he spent 13 years in the consulting, e-commerce, and government industries, with roles including business strategy, strategic and tactical product management and technology management.
Joe Weinman
Joe Weinman leads global portfolio strategy and business development for AT&T Business Solutions. A 29-year veteran of AT&T, the world’s largest telecommunications and information technology firm, Weinman is a prolific inventor and author and frequent global keynote speaker. He has held a variety of executive positions of increasing responsibility spanning research and development at AT&T Bell Laboratories, marketing, sales, product management, engineering and operations and corporate strategy and business development.
Sharon Weldon
Sharon Weldon joined TEOCO in June of 1999 and currently serves as executive director of sales, responsible for generating new customer opportunities. She previously served as director of product management. Prior to joining TEOCO, Weldon was a senior manager in the Network Cost Department at Cable & Wireless LLC. An active participant in industry forums, Weldon serves as the co-chair of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) Order and Billing Forum (OBF). Shannon is the Vice President of Business Development, where he is responsible for all sales and business development activities for Cloud.com. Prior to joining Cloud.com, Shannon was the Vice President and General Manager of Europe for Solidcore Systems (acquired by McAfee). With a strong background in building successful startups, Shannon has held leadership positions with SeeCommerce (acquired by NCR), Teros (acquired by Citrix) and Securant Technologies (acquired by RSA) over the last 15 years.
Rick Woods
Rick Woods is the vice president Americas at Volubill, responsible for the business operations in North America, the Caribbean, and CALA. Prior to joining Volubill, he was a vice president in the product organization at Intec Telecom Systems where he was responsible for Intec’s leadership position in the mediation technology space. Woods has 25 years of experience in telecommunications and has worked with service providers in every global market. Since 2008, he has worked to define the policy management segment and is focused on bringing the VBS market leading solution to the Americas.
Matt Zemon
Zemon brings more than 20 years of operations, billing and customer service experience to Element Customer Care, which provides billing services to small and midsized cable companies. Before working for Element, Zemon was president of Bulk TV & Internet, a private cable operator recently included in the Inc. 500 list. He holds a degree from the Jepson School of Leadership Studies, University of Richmond and is an active member in Entrepreneur’s Organization of Raleigh-Durham.
